RCD Espanyol have sealed a €4m deal with Olympique de Marseille for the services of Brazilian international Eduardo Costa.

Agreement reached
The Barcelona-based club had identified the 22-year-old former Grêmio FBPA player as a main summer transfer target, and today announced an agreement with Marseille for the midfield player.

Bordeaux stint
Costa is now due to put pen to paper on a four-year contract and commit his future to Espanyol, who will enter the 2005/06 UEFA Cup as Spain's fifth-placed team. Costa made 88 appearances in three seasons with FC Girondins de Bordeaux, before moving to Marseille last summer and going on to play another 30 Ligue 1 games.
