Europe will send six teams to the 2008 FIFA Futsal World Cup. Qualification will have two stages. In the first all 38 entrants have been drawn into ten groups, two containing three sides and eight of four. The groups will be played as single-venue mini-tournaments from 28 February-2 March with the winners and two best runners-up then competing in six two-legged play-offs for the berths in Brazil from 30 September to 19 October, with matches in Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia, with the capital staging the draw on 6 July.
