The top three scorers in the UEFA-CAF Meridian Cup all found the target again in Tuesday's third round of matches, with France's Jérémy Menez striking against Nigeria to remain in front.

Trio on three
The FC Sochaux-Montbéliard striker broke the deadlock in Aydin with a ninth-minute penalty, his fourth goal of the competition and France's tenth. Menez's team-mate Karim Benzema scored the eleventh nine minutes from time to take his personal tally to three, the same number as Spain's Carlos Carmona - scorer of the winner against Egypt - while Ergin Keles got his second with the only goal of Turkey's victory against Sierra Leone.

First goals
Cameroon captain Guy Toindouba hit his country's first goal of the tournament from the penalty spot in a 3-1 defeat by Portugal, for whom António Ferreira, Julien Araújo and Bruno Gama all registered for the first time. The final round of matches are played on Friday.
