Toulouse looking to open up a path

A win against eliminated FK Partizan will guarantee Toulouse FC the chance to play Club Brugge KV for a place in the UEFA Europa League round of 32 as Group J heads towards its conclusion.

• Should Toulouse record a worse outcome against Partizan than Club Brugge procure from their visit to section leaders FC Shakhtar Donetsk, Alain Casanova's side would be eliminated.

• Toulouse won 3-2 in Belgrade on Matchday 1 in the sides' first meeting, which was also the French club's first game against Serbian opposition. Partizan have not won in France, earning a 1-1 draw in their first visit and 4-0 and 3-0 defeats in subsequent trips.

• A former goalkeeper, Toulouse coach Casanova played for Le Havre AC and Toulouse either side of a two-season spell at Olympique de Marseille in which he did not make a single competitive appearance. He replaced Elie Baup at the Stadium Municipal in May 2008.

• Casanova was an unused substitute as Marseille lost 5-3 on penalties to Partizan's local rivals FK Crvena Zvezda in the 1991 European Champion Clubs' Cup final in Bari.

• Just before the start of the group stage, Partizan dismissed ex-Yugoslavia midfielder Slaviša Jokanović as their coach, with the former CD Tenerife, RC Deportivo La Coruña and Chelsea FC player being replaced by his assistant Goran Stevanović.
