The draw for the UEFA Cup group stage will be streamed live on uefa.com from 12.00CET. Forty clubs will descend on UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland where they will be divided into eight groups of five teams according to their club coefficients.

Star names
Villarreal CF of Spain, UEFA Champions League semi-finalists in 2006, may be the top seeds, but it is the team directly below them in the rankings which supply most of the glamour. FC Bayern München have won four European Champion Clubs' Cups, the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and, in 1996, the UEFA Cup. Pot 2 contains fellow Bundesliga heavyweights Hamburger SV, while the likes of FC Spartak Moskva, Club Atlético de Madrid, Everton FC and ACF Fiorentina will be teams to avoid in Pot 3.

Famous victory
FK Crvena Zvezda, European champions in 1991, are the star names in Pot 4, an honour which goes to Aberdeen FC in Pot 5 thanks to their famous defeat of Real Madrid CF in the 1983 Cup Winners' Cup final. Larissa FC have enjoyed more recent success, though, as the Greek side eliminated Blackburn Rovers FC in the first round.
