Midfield duo commit to Roma

AS Roma midfield players David Pizarro and Simone Perrotta have extended their contracts with the Giallorossi until 2013 and 2011 respectively.

The 30-year-old Pizarro has made 96 Serie A appearances for Roma since his switch from FC Internazionale Milano in 2006. Italian international Perrotta, 32, was signed from AC Chievo Verona two years before the Chilean and has amassed 26 goals in 161 league matches for the capital club. Roma, 14th in Serie A with eleven points from ten games, are third in UEFA Europa League Group E ahead of next Thursday's visit of the team directly above them, Fulham FC.
