European teams competing in the FIFA Women's World Cup are bound by the regulations drawn up by world football's governing body. The official final tournament regulations can be accessed via fifa.com.
Qualifying round
For the European qualifying round, the regulations are initially drawn up by the UEFA Administration before being submitted to the Women's Football Committee. They are then forwarded upon that committee's approval to the UEFA Executive Committee for ratification.
