The UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship finals qualifying rounds consist of two stages: the first with ten groups - with the winners progressing along with the six runners-up with the best record against the first and third-placed teams - and the second with four pools, the top nations progressing to the finals. If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following criteria are applied to determine the ranking of the teams in question: a) Higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question. b) Superior goal difference resulting from the group matches played among the teams in question. c) Higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question. d) If, after having applied criteria a) to c), two teams still have an equal ranking, criteria a) to c) will be reapplied to determine the ranking of the two teams. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria e) and f) will apply. e) Results of all group matches: 1. Superior goal difference. 2. Higher number of goals scored. f) Drawing of lots. If two teams are dead level before they meet in their last group fixtures and draw, a penalty shoot-out will instead be held should qualification be at stake.
