In line with the official tournament motto, United by Football. Vereint im Herzen Europas, the UEFA EURO 2024 volunteer logo complements the tournament's branding with a colourful and varied design. For the first time, UEFA and the ten host cities are organising a joint volunteer programme, in which 16,000 volunteers will lay the foundation for a successful tournament.

"The EURO depends on volunteers. We are looking forward to working with 16,000 volunteers, who will not only help make the tournament a success, but will also be seen by our visitors as friendly, dedicated hosts. We want to honour them and express our deep appreciation to them by giving them their own logo. We are grateful to our volunteers and hope to count on them again in the future because, without them, the football we all know and love would simply not exist," said Philipp Lahm, UEFA EURO 2024 tournament director.

As is traditionally the case at UEFA tournaments, the logo's design is based on the letter V for volunteer. The open arms symbolise the positive atmosphere and welcoming culture of UEFA EURO 2024.

Celia Šašić, the DFB vice-president for equality and diversity and a UEFA EURO 2024 ambassador, explained: "The colourful logo illustrates the diversity of our volunteers. Everyone is welcome, regardless of where they come from, the colour of their skin, what they believe in and who they love. The bright colours of our volunteers reflect our society, a society of which we are proud and which we want the whole world to see. We want to live in freedom and peace, fully in line with our values, and we are grateful to everyone who stands up for these values and supports us."
