Marcel Koller, Austria coach
This was a hard game for us. We had only one aim – to win – and every player did his best on the pitch for the victory. We were aggressive in attack and created more chances than our opponents. In the end, two goals were enough to win.

At the same time, Moldova also had chances. Especially during the final minutes, after we lost a player because he was sent off. The home team were very active in this period, but it all ended fortunately for us. We got a victory and this is the main thing for me, also for the whole Austrian team.

Alexandr Curteian, Moldova coach
The end of the game was like a thriller. Nobody could say what the result would be. We wanted to get at least a point and created a good chance but did not take it. I hope we will be more lucky in our next matches.

Our team has big potential and the main task now is to create a cohesive unit. We have very ambitious players and that is very good. I enjoy working with players like this a lot. I am very glad that they realise my ideas on the pitch.

Being coach I want to see my team as winners. This is very important – it is vital for us in this period. I want to have a strong Moldovan national team, who will fight against any opponent and be able to achieve big things.

Also I want to say many thanks to our fans. Their support during the game was fantastic.
