Carew back in Norway fold

Norway have recalled AS Roma striker John Carew to face Serbia and Montenegro on Wednesday week.

Coach confident
Carew had not played for his country since a dispute with Liverpool FC defender John Arne Riise last September. "We will try to clear the air when we get the players together," said Norway coach Åge Hareide. However, Manchester United FC's Ole Gunnar Solskjær has been left out as he has only just recovered from a serious knee injury.

Gashi back
Hareide has also given another chance to promising Vålerenga IF midfield player Ardian Gashi. The 23-year-old impressed in his club's run to the UEFA Cup third round this season and was also part of the Norwegian squad that travelled to Hong Kong in January for an international tournament.
