Goalkeeping chance
Goalkeepers Erwin Lemmens and Tristan Peersman again get the chance to impress in the continued absence of Geert de Vlieger, who is out for a year with an achilles injury. "I was pleased with the goalkeepers against the Netherlands," Anthuenis said.

Belgium begin their 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign at home to Group 7 rivals Lithuania on 4 September before facing Spain, Serbia and Montenegro, San Marino and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
