Qualifying top scorer: Lewandowski pips Ronaldo

Poland striker Robert Lewandowski finished as the top scorer in the European Qualifiers with a record 16 goals, one ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and five in front of Romelu Lukakau.

Robert Lewandowski finished as the top scorer in European qualifying for the FIFA World Cup with a record 16 goals, one ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo with Romelu Lukakau on 11. Eight goals behind Lewandowski in joint fifth, Marcus Berg and Christian Eriksen can both improve their tallies in the play-offs.
