Leonid Slutski

Coaching career: FC Olimpia Volgograd, FC Uralan Elista, FC Moskva, PFC Krylya Sovetov Samara, PFC CSKA Moskva
• Started his playing career as a goalkeeper with Volgograd regional team FC Zvezda Gorodische, but suffered a severe injury after falling from a tree and was forced to hang up his gloves after just 13 matches.
• Began coaching career in youth football at Olimpia Volgograd. From 2002 to 2004 he worked at Uralan Elista where he was promoted to head coach following the club's top-flight relegation.
• Took the reins at Moskva reserves in 2004 and replaced Valeri Petrakov at the club's helm the following summer. Under Slutski, Moskva finished fifth in 2005, sixth in 2006 and then a record high fourth position in 2007.
• In December 2007, Slutski was appointed as Krylya coach and led them to a sixth-placed finish, gaining a European berth in the process.
• Resigned Krylya post on 9 October and on 26 October signed a three-year contract with CSKA Moskva, replacing Juande Ramos.
