AJ Auxerre and Toulouse FC were Ligue 1 winners after the match between Olympique de Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain FC was called off after an outbreak of swine flu caused the entire visiting squad to be quarantined for 72 hours.

Decision reversed
The match at the Stade Vélodrome had originally been given the go-ahead on Saturday despite confirmation that a number of PSG players had contracted H1N1 flu but the French Professional League (LFP) reversed the decision on Sunday "on the formal recommendation of the national commission of medical experts". The national commission also decided that all the capital club's players and staff should be contained in isolation for three days.

Trio absent
"This decision is vindicated by the will to stop all risk of contagion, including among players of the opposing team, and of complications among the players who are potentially infected," said the LFP. PSG coach Antoine Kombouaré had said on Saturday that Ludovic Giuly, Mamadou Sakho and Jérémy Clément had been ruled out of the game due to illness.

Auxerre comeback
There were no such problems for Auxerre as they twice came from behind to edge LOSC Lille Métropole 3-2, Gervinho and Pierre-Alain Frau scoring either side of an Ireneusz Jeleń strike to give the visitors a half-time advantage. The Poland striker levelled again on 78 minutes and Daniel Niculae completed the turnaround to lift the hosts to seventh. Finally, RC Lens remain one place off bottom after goals in either half by Moussa Sissoko and André-Pierre Gignac hauled Toulouse into mid-table.
