Five-goal Juve make their charge
Saturday 7 November 2009Juventus pulled within four points of Serie A pacesetters FC Internazionale Milano with a 5-2 success at struggling Atalanta BC, while Napoli SSC could only draw 0-0 at second-bottom Calcio Catania.
Camoranesi double
Despite the emphatic scoreline, Juve only made sure of their points thanks to late efforts from Diego and David Trezeguet, the duo registering on 84 and 87 minutes after Fabio Ceravolo looked to have set up an intriguing finale when he profited from Simone Tiribocchi's lofted pass to beat Gianluigi Buffon with 19 minutes left. Before that, Felipe Melo powered in from distance ten minutes into the second period to restore the Bianconeri's two-goal lead, which Jaime Valdés had halved moments earlier following a pair of Mauro Camoranesi strikes in the space of 60 first-half seconds.
Morimoto miss
Inter can re-establish their seven-point advantage at the summit if they overcome visitors AS Roma on Sunday, when a win for the hosts would also take them 13 points clear of Napoli. Walter Mazzarri's charges missed the opportunity to move into the top four as they failed to get the better of Catania, who now trail Atalanta by a point.
