Denmark 1-2 England
Aston Villa FC pair Darren Bent and Ashley Young were on target as England recovered from a goal down to defeat Denmark at the Parken Stadion.
In what was a lively opening in Copenhagen, Nicklas Bendtner shot wide for the hosts and Wayne Rooney had an effort blocked on the line by Mathias Zanka Jørgensen following Thomas Sørensen's failure to gather. Daniel Agger then made the breakthrough for the hosts, heading in Christian Eriksen's right-wing cross on seven minutes.
Bent swiftly equalised, tapping in Theo Walcott's low ball across goal. England, though, were fortunate not to be behind at the break after the sprightly Eriksen received Bendtner's lay-off outside the area and rifled a shot against the base of Joe Hart's left-hand upright.
The second half continued in a similarly open vein, Bent's header impressively kept out at point-blank range by Sørensen and Dennis Rommedahl drawing a smart save from Hart following some sharp build-up play by Morten Olsen's team.
The decisive blow was landed by Young on 68 minutes after Glen Johnson dispossessed Michael Krohn-Dehli, burst forward and played in the winger, who kept his composure to notch his maiden goal for his country.
