History
• The oldest club on the Spanish scene and in recent years the leading force both at home and in Europe, sole three-time UEFA Futsal Cup winners Interviú Madrid were originally known as HORA XX.

• The club then changed their name to Interviú Lloyd's and during that period took a record eight consecutive league titles between 1983/84 and 1990/91.

• In 1991/92 the club adopted the name Boomerang Interviú, and more silverware followed along with a couple of other name changes – first Airtel Boomerang and then Antena 3 Boomerang – before reverting back to Boomerang Interviú in 2002.

• The club's first taste of the UEFA Futsal Cup came in 2002/03 only for a forfeited match, as a result of the use of an ineligible player, to cost them a place in the final. The next year they won the trophy over two legs against SL Benfica and repeated the trick in 2005/06 against MFK Dinamo Moskva.

• Dinamo turned the tables in the final the following year but back in Europe in 2008/09, Interviú reclaimed the UEFA Futsal Cup last season with a 5-1 win against hosts and holders MFK Viz-Sinara Ekaterinburg.

Key players
Jesús Candelas, the mastermind of their success between 1998 and 2008, returned as coach this season and can still call on the core of his successful sides including goalkeeper Luis Amado, Schumacher and Spain's Daniel. Other members of the all-star squad include the evergreen Marquinho, Gabriel, Betão, Jordi Torrás, Juanra, Ortiz and Borja.

Coach: Jesús Candelas

Date of Birth: 7 October 1957
Nationality: Spanish
Coaching career: Marsanz FS, Algón FS, CD Mejorada, Caja Segovia GS, Interviú Madrid (twice)

Candelas started his career as a futsal coach back in 1987 at Marsanz. After two seasons he stepped up to Algón and soon led them to promotion to the top flight and Spanish Cup glory in 1989.

He subsequently took charge of Mejorada (1992-96), and Caja Segovia (1996-98) before being enticed to Interviú in 1998. It was a marriage made in heaven, with the Madrid side going on to win five league titles, five Spanish Cups, four Spanish Super Cups, four intercontinental titles, the UEFA Futsal Cup in 2004 and 2006 and two Copas Ibéricas in his first spell in charge. Having stepped down in summer 2008 in favour of Juan Luis Alonso, Candelas returned in October on a contract until the end of this season.
