Murcia focused on title

ElPozo Murcia FS coach Duda is targeting UEFA Futsal Cup success after progressing to the semi-finals of the competition as Elite round Group A winners.

Title quest
The Spanish champions qualified for the showpiece event from 24-26 April with a game to spare in Poland after beating KMF Marbo Beograd 5-1 and Croatia's HMNK Gospić 4-2 and celebrated with a 3-2 success against hosts Clearex Chorzów. Duda, whose club finished third in the inaugural final four event last season as hosts and are attempting to give Spain its fifth title in seven editions, said: "We can now face the final four without any strange feelings and with the sole objective of winning the title and competing until the end. It was a tough match against Gospić and difficult to create chances because they defended well. However, the victory made us go into the third match much more relaxed."

League boost
Murcia, boosted by the success, returned to domestic action and ended a run of two defeats prior to their European fixtures with a 3-2 win against Azkar Lugo FS that took them back to the top of the table. "It was an important win because we had come from another competition and now we're leaders," said Duda.
