Dinamo move past Marca into final

Marca Futsal 0-3 MFK Dinamo Moskva
Romulo made the first for Fernandinho before scoring the next two himself to send the 2007 winners into their fourth final.

MFK Dinamo Moskva are through to their fourth UEFA Futsal Cup final after an assured display against Italy's Marca Futsal.

Fernandinho broke the deadlock before the man that made that goal, Romulo, doubled the lead early in the second half and scored again at the death. Marca were always a danger but will end their debut campaign in Sunday's third-place play-off before Dinamo face FC Barcelona or Sporting Clube de Portugal five years after their previous tournament win.

Dinamo dominated the early stages backed by an impressive following in Lleida but Marca had the first clear chance with Jonas Pinto forcing Aleksei Popov to palm away. However, Fernandinho then twice went close in quick succession and soon after broke the deadlock, sliding the ball past Gabriel Miraglia from Romulo's pass.

Miraglia had to be alert when Marca called a time-out with an attacking kick-in, only for Nando to intercept, run the length of the pitch and make the Italian champions' goalkeeper save. Popov himself was being forced into action more, not least by Duarte following a fine counterattacking dribble by Papù. Baptistella, like Adriano Foglia a winner last year with ASD Città di Montesilvano C/5 – who Marca knocked out in the elite round – also came close.

Marca kept up the pressure at the start of the second half, Wilhelm's strike stinging Popov's palms. But it was soon 2-0 to Dinamo as Vinicius found Romulo on the right and he cut in before unleashing a strong finish.

Jeffe only just missed as Marca continued to press, but a Dinamo squad containing five former UEFA Futsal Cup winners were not giving way easily, though fellow ex-champion Baptistella did hit Popov's right-hand post.

At the other end Tatù drew a Miraglia diving stop while for Marca, Foglia and Pinto kept Popov busy. If anything, though, Dinamo had the better of the late stages as their fans cheered them towards their first final since winning in Murcia five years ago and with Duarte on as a flying goalkeeper, man of the match Romulo shot into an empty net.
