Iran 5-2 Ukraine
An experimental Ukraine side were given a tough work-out before Saturday's UEFA European Futsal Championship draw as they were defeated by seven-time Asian champions Iran.

First-half goals
One of eight teams involved in the Porto draw for the futsal finals from 16-25 November, Ukraine took on an Iran side about to bid to win back the continental crown they lost to Japan a year ago. And the hosts in Qom were 2-0 up at the break through two goals from Vahid Shamsaee. Vitaliy Belous pulled one back but Shamsaee then completed his hat-trick.

Shamsaee landmark
Yevgen Rogachov made it 3-2 before, having committed a sixth foul in the half, Ukraine conceded a double-penalty converted by the 31-year-old Shamsaee for his 305th international goal, claimed as an unofficial world record ahead of Brazil's Manuel Tobias on 302. Ukraine then removed their goalkeeper to try and reduce the deficit but shipped a fifth through Ahmad Pariazar.
