UEFA has been holding talks since Monday with the authorities in Serbia and Montenegro, after security doubts were raised about staging the game in Belgrade, where a state of emergency is in force. UEFA said that no further information would be issued today, and that a decision was expected by lunchtime on Wednesday. The body added that the decision would be made in Rome, where senior UEFA officials are present for a two-day meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee, as well as the XXVII Ordinary UEFA Congress on Thursday.
