A domestic title winner with Baník Ostrava, Levski Sofia and Viktoria Plzeň, defender David Bystroň has died at the age of 34.

Capped at all under-age levels by the Czech Republic, Bystroň won Czech titles with Baník (2003/04) and Plzeň (2010/11) either side of a spell in Bulgaria, where he was a league champion with Levski in 2008/09. He played in all six of Plzeň's games in the 2011/12 UEFA Champions League group stage.

In more recent years, he had played for another Czech side, Sigma Olomouc, and was playing amateur football in Switzerland at the time of his death.
