UEFA has been made aware of individuals claiming to have tickets for sale for the 2012 UEFA Champions League final, to be played at the Fußball Arena München on Saturday 19 May.

Such tickets are offered via advertisements and postings placed in various German newspapers and on the internet, and more often than not do not exist.

UEFA urges fans to ignore all such offers and refrain from attempting to purchase such tickets, as these offers are not authorised by UEFA and may be fraudulent. General public ticket sales for the Munich final were conducted exclusively via UEFA.com from 1 until 16 March 2012. The only other authorised legal channel for ticket sales to fans now is via the two finalist clubs.

UEFA is currently working with the German Football Association (DFB) and German police to track any individuals or entities pretending to be authorised to sell tickets for the 2012 UEFA Champions League final, and will launch criminal and civil proceedings to prevent and combat any such illegal activities. We kindly urge any victims of any fraudulent ticketing activities to contact their local police.

In addition, UEFA emphasises that tickets for the 2012 UEFA Champions League final are personalised, and that resale of the tickets is prohibited.
