UEFA is deeply saddened to hear of the tragedy at a league football match in the Angolan town of Uige on Friday night, where 17 people lost their lives.
"UEFA would like to express its solidarity with the Angolan Football Federation following the tragic stampede which occurred at a football stadium in Uige last night," said UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin. "We would like to present our deepest condolences to the families of the victims."
