UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against the Polish Football Association (PZPN) for the setting off of fireworks by spectators at last night's UEFA EURO 2012 Group A match against Russia in Warsaw.

Disciplinary proceedings have also been opened against the Football Union of Russia (RFS) for the setting off and throwing of fireworks, displaying illicit banners and the invasion of the pitch by a supporter.

However, last night's incidents do not have any impact on the probation period for the sanction imposed on the RFS following the incidents at their first match against the Czech Republic in Wroclaw. This means the six-point deduction is still currently suspended.

The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body will deal with both cases on 17 June.
