UEFA Appeals Body decisions

The UEFA Appeals Body has delivered its verdicts in relation to a number of cases from the UEFA Europa League round of 32 second-leg matches played in February.

The UEFA Appeals Body today gave its verdict on the following cases from recent UEFA Europa League matches.

21 February – UEFA Europa League round of 32 second leg:
Fenerbahçe SK v FC BATE Borisov
Fenerbahçe charge: Setting off and throwing of fireworks from outside the stadium, kit infringements, improper conduct of the team.
The appeal is rejected and the decision of the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body of 27 February is upheld (see first decision here).

21 February – UEFA Europa League round of 32 second leg:
S.S. Lazio v VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach
Lazio charges: Setting off and throwing of fireworks, racist behaviour, insufficient organisation
The appeal is rejected and the decision of the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body of 27 February is upheld (see first decision here).

21 February – UEFA Europa League round of 32 second leg:
FC Rubin Kazan v Club Atlético de Madrid
Rubin charge: César Navas red card
The appeal is partially admitted. As a result, César Navas is now suspended for two UEFA club competition matches instead of three. As the player has already served one game – Levante UD 0-0 Rubin on 7 March – the remaining suspension applies to the second leg on Thursday 14 March.
