UEFA is pleased that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne today confirmed the decision of the UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) adjudicatory chamber regarding the requirement to comply with the UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations in the case of Málaga CF.

The Spanish side is therefore excluded from the 2013/14 UEFA Europa League and will be replaced by the next best-placed team in the Spanish domestic league, provided this club has been granted a licence and fulfils all the admission criteria. The fine of €300,000 imposed on Málaga is also confirmed.
