Six clubs sanctioned for overdue payables

Skonto FC, FC Petrolul Ploieşti and FC Metalurh Donetsk are among six clubs sanctioned for overdue financial payables by the UEFA Club Financial Control Body's adjudicatory chamber.

The UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) adjudicatory chamber, chaired by José Narciso da Cunha Rodrigues, has taken decisions in the cases of six clubs that had been referred to it by the CFCB chief investigator, due to the presence of overdue payables balances.

The decisions of the CFCB adjudicatory chamber are as follows:

Skonto FC (LVA): The club is excluded from participating in the next UEFA club competition for which it would otherwise qualify on its results or standing in the next three seasons (i.e. 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17) unless the club is able to prove by 31 January 2014 that it has paid the amounts that were identified as overdue payables on 30 September 2013. In addition, Skonto FC has also been fined €40,000.

WKS Śląsk Wrocław (POL): The club has been fined €20,000.

Vitória SC (POR): The club has been given a reprimand.

CS Pandurii Târgu Jiu (ROU): The club had been fined €40,000.

FC Petrolul Ploieşti (ROU): The club is excluded from participating in the next UEFA club competition for which it would otherwise qualify on its results or standing in the next three seasons (i.e. 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17) unless the club is able to prove by 31 January 2014 that the amounts that were identified as overdue payables on 30 September 2013 have been paid. In addition, FC Petrolul Ploieşti has also been fined €50,000.

FC Metalurh Donetsk (UKR): The club is excluded from participating in the next UEFA club competition for which it would otherwise qualify on its results or standing in the next three seasons (i.e. 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17) unless the club is able to prove by 31 January 2014 that it has paid the amounts that were identified as overdue payables on 30 September 2013. In addition, FC Metalurh Donetsk has also been fined €80,000.
