105 – UEFA Champions League draw, UEFA Cup draw and the UEFA Super Cup match
UEFA has today announced the schedule of events which will, as has become the tradition in recent years, kick-off the new season of European club football in Monaco. Media representatives have until Friday 19 August 2008 to apply for accreditation and media booking directly to UEFA, via F.A.M.E., for the following activities:
• Thursday 28 August 2008 at 18:00 hours in the Grimaldi Forum, Monaco
o Draw for the group stage of the 2008/09 UEFA Champions League, including the "UEFA Club Football Awards"
• Friday 29 August 2008 at 13:00 hours in the Grimaldi Forum, Monaco
o Draw for the first round of the 2008/09 UEFA Cup
• Friday 29 August 2008 at 20:45 at the Stade Louis II, Monaco
o UEFA Super Cup match between Manchester United FC and FC Zenit St. Petersburg
To cover these events, representatives of the written press, photographers (including editors and technicians), radio stations and website reporters as well as non-rights-holding TV stations, must apply directly to UEFA via F.A.M.E.
Media who have never used the on-line accreditation service before must first register on http://www.uefa.com/uefa/mediaservices/accreditation/index.html , get their registration approved and then request an accreditation via F.A.M.E.
Should you need to change or withdraw your accreditation request prior to 19 August 2008, please do so online. Should you need to adapt or withdraw your request after the deadline, or in case of cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org. No-shows will be taken into consideration for future UEFA events.
Media representatives wishing to cover the draws live at the Grimaldi Forum will have to do so from the media working area as there will be no special facilities nor telephone lines installed inside the draw hall. Please use the forms, from the Grimaldi Forum, available in
F.A.M.E. to order your lines.
For the UEFA Super Cup, requests for telephone and/or ISDN lines must be made via Monaco Telecom. WI-FI connectivity is available in both the media working area and the media tribune of the Stade Louis II. Wi-Fi cards (10€ = 10 hours of connectivity) may be purchased at the stadium Media Accreditation Centre on the 28th and 29th of August.
Radio stations wishing to broadcast the match live are requested to contact T.E.A.M. Marketing AG (Tel: +41 (0)41 368 18 18); at the same time, applications for accreditations are to be made via the UEFA online accreditation system, F.A.M.E.
UEFA Super Cup TV rights-holders are to forward their accreditation requests directly to T.E.A.M. Marketing AG.
