New on-line media accreditation service

UEFA has launched a new on-line media accreditation service to help improve the application process for media representatives wishing to cover UEFA events.

On-line forms
In future, media will be requested to apply for accreditation for all centrally organised UEFA events via the new service. On-line accreditation forms will be available from here.

Congress debut
The first UEFA event which is open to on-line media accreditation requests is the XXVI UEFA Congress, which takes place in Stockholm on 25 April. The Congress accreditation form is now available to the media, and the deadline for requests has been set at 11 April.

Easier process
European football's governing body says that the new accreditation system is designed to make the accreditation application process easier.

Efficient support
"This new service reflects UEFA's commitment to further improving our work with the media and providing modern, efficient support for all our events," said UEFA's communication and public affairs director Mike Lee. "It is also an important addition to the excellent range of services now being offered by uefa.com."

Fax requests still accepted
UEFA will continue to distribute and accept accreditation applications by fax from media without access to the new service, which UEFA will be continually fine-tuning in the coming weeks.

Strict deadlines
Strict deadlines will be applied for accreditation requests. UEFA says that it will only accept requests after deadlines in very exceptional circumstances.
