Juventus chairman Agnelli on social responsibility

What is the Juventus chairman's view on football as a 'game-changer' in society? And what does Andrea Agnelli think of Paul Pogba being picked to present the UEFA–ICRC donation?

Agnelli’s views on football social responsibility

UEFA met up with Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli to discuss the potential of football as a force for good, as his club continue to make significant strides in their social responsibility work. He also welcomed his players' involvement in such initiatives, including midfielder Paul Pogba's support for the UEFA-ICRC partnership assisting landmine victims in Afghanistan.

Andrea Agnelli on football as a force for good:

"Football definitely isn't just a game. Nowadays it's an industry that clearly has the power to influence both positively and negatively. This hinges on those with key roles in football, whether it's the football institutions, clubs or players. They must all take on their own responsibilities, which is knowing how to take the value of football and its potential, and drive it in the right direction."

Andrea Agnelli on Juve's Paul Pogba being selected to present UEFA's annual donation to the ICRC:

"I think having a Juventus player chosen, in this case Paul, and the club itself, can only be a pleasure and an honour. We have an ongoing dialogue with UEFA and this is a further level of recognition. We're very happy about it."
