LOSC Lille moved within a single point of Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain with a late 1-0 success against Olympique de Marseille, before AS Monaco FC dispatched OGC Nice 3-0.
Aiming to put pressure on Paris, who visit Évian Thonon Gaillard FC on Wednesday night, LOSC had a 91st-minute Nolan Roux goal and in-form goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama to thank for a third straight 1-0 triumph.
Roux snatched the points at the last for LOSC, stooping to head in Florent Balmont's cross after Enyeama had made a string of saves – repeatedly frustrating André-Pierre Gignac – to shut out OM and extend the team's phenomenal clean sheet record. LOSC and Enyeama have now gone 1035 minutes without conceding a goal in Ligue 1.
Monaco, meanwhile, stay a point behind LOSC after victory against Nice in the Côte d'Azur derby. The home side were unable to recover from Emmanuel Rivière's first-half double – his first league goals since September – and Lucas Ocampos sealed the win late on.
Elsewhere, Fernando Aristeguieta's 89th-minute goal earned FC Nantes a 2-1 win against struggling Valenciennes FC which moves Les Canaris fifth in the standings.
