Serie A champions Juventus concluded their league campaign with a 3-2 defeat at UC Sampdoria.
Crowned as Italian top-flight title winners a fortnight ago, Juve have now picked up just four points from their subsequent three fixtures. The Bianconeri did take the lead after 25 minutes in Genoa, Fabio Quagliarella latching on to Andrea Pirlo's pass and finishing calmly. However, the hosts were level only six minutes later thanks to an Éder penalty.
Lorenzo De Silvestri put Sampdoria in front just before the hour – despite heavy Juventus pressure after the interval – beating Juve goalkeeper Marco Storari with a near-post header. Though Quagliarella nearly restored parity soon after, Sampdoria then doubled their lead courtesy of Mauro Icardi's close-range finish. Emanuele Giaccherini reduced the visitors' arrears in added time, but it was too little, too late.
