FC Dinamo Moskva midfielder and national team captain Alexandru Epureanu has been voted Moldova's player of the year for a record fourth time.
"Without the support of my team-mates this would not have been possible," the 26-year-old told UEFA.com. In a poll conducted by the Football Association of Moldova (FMF), Epureanu landed the accolade ahead of FC Kuban Krasnodar defender Igor Armaş, while FC Rostov midfielder Aleksandr Gatskan finished third.
Epureanu, capped 47 times by his country, has spent the last four months on loan at Russian Premier League outfit PFC Krylya Sovetov Samara, scoring once in 17 appearances.
