SK Tirana stayed top of the Albanian first division on Sunday after fighting back from a goal down to win 3-1 at KS Erzeni.
Back in contention
Artan Karapici poked the ball home from close range for Erzeni after only four minutes, when Tirana's keeper failed to clear a Dritan Mehmeti free-kick. But last year's runners-up were soon back in contention as Indrit Fortuzi struck the equaliser in the 23rd minute. The league's leading scorer put Tirana in front 12 minutes later when he slid home Eldorado Merkoci's cross to claim his 15th goal of the campaign. Merkoci made sure of the points ten minutes from time, stabbing home from close range.
Third-placed KS Dinamo Tirana kept up the pressure on the top two by beating last year's champions KS Vllaznia 3-1. Edi Martini's 54th-minute strike cancelled out Albin Gallo's opener, but Fjodor Xhafa and Klodiab Asllani went on to put the game beyond reach.
Sunday’s other games saw KS Tomori overcome KS Apolonia 2-0, while KS Bylis held KF Lushnja to a 1-1 draw and KS Shkumbini and KS Flamurtari ended goalless.
