KF Tirana sealed the Albanian title with Hetlem Capja scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win in an ill-tempered capital derby against FK Partizani.

Capja winner
Tempers had been fraying throughout the game, and Tirana were incensed after captain Ardit Beqiri was dismissed. However, they still managed to win the game with Capja scoring the all-important winner after 65 minutes to hand the club their 23rd league title. Tirana will now compete in the first qualifying round of next season's UEFA Champions League.

European battle
With second placed KS Teuta drawing 0-0 at third-placed KS Vllaznia in the night's other big Albanian fixture, the runners-up slot - and a place in the UEFA Cup first qualifying round - is still up for grabs. However, Partizani now have no chance of breaking into the UEFA Cup, as they are seven points adrift of Teuta with two matches remaining.
