Antoni Giribet Fiter

Nationality: Andorran
Date of birth: 31 December 1965
Association president since: 2009

• Antoni Giribet Fiter was first involved in football as a player with FC Andorra in the Spanish lower leagues, signing up at 17 and staying on for three years; he later moved on to a career as an administrator with an electrical company, while playing for UE Sant Julià in Andorra.

• Sant Julià's player-president for several years, he headed up the club until he was made Andorran Football Federation (FAF) president, overseeing their landmark UEFA Champions League qualifying success against San Marino's SP Tre Fiori; the first Andorran victory in UEFA's top club competition.

• Married with one child, Giribet Fiter is proud of the FAF's work, saying: "I have seen and lived through the evolution of the game here. We are what we are - a country of 80,000 people - but every year we are progressing a little more. My big objective now is to start work on having a national stadium to the standards UEFA have requested of us."
