Key performer
The 27-year-old Slovakian international was a key performer last season when Austria won the Austrian league and cup double. Janocko - who finished ahead of SV Austria Salzburg's Roland Kirchler and Axel Lawaree of SW Bregenz in the poll - picked up the 'Bruno 2003' trophy, named after one of Austria's all-time greats, Bruno Pezzey, who died in 1994, aged only 39.
Mandl award
Janocko's Austria team-mate Thomas Mandl won the newcomer of the year award having become first-choice goalkeeper in the Austrian national team. Markus Katzer of VfB Admira Wacker Mödling and SK Rapid Wien's Andreas Ivanschitz were second and third in the voting.
