Late Nasri strike delights City

Samir Nasri's late strike moved Manchester City FC back to within a point of Manchester United FC after a 2-1 comeback win against Chelsea FC while Arsenal FC are up to third.

Samir Nasri struck with five minutes left to move Manchester City FC back to within a point of Manchester United FC and maintain their perfect 15-game Premier League home record with a 2-1 comeback win against Chelsea FC.

An hour into a tight game, a Frank Lampard corner caused confusion in the City box and Gary Cahill's shot deflected off Yaya Touré and past Joe Hart. City brought on Carlos Tévez for the first time in six months but it was Sergio Agüero who equalised on 78 minutes, converting a penalty after a Michael Essien handball. However, Tévez played a big part in the winner in a one-two subtly finished off by Nasri.

Meanwhile, Arsenal FC won 1-0 at Everton FC, Thomas Vermaelen's eighth-minute strike proving enough at Goodison Park. The result ensured the Gunners stole third place from Tottenham Hotspur, who only earned a 1-1 draw at home to Stoke City FC through a last-gasp Rafael van der Vaart equaliser. That leaves Chelsea five points off fourth place while Queens Park Rangers FC are out of the bottom three after recovering from two down to win 3-2 against Liverpool FC, Jamie Mackie scoring in added time.
