Premier League leaders Manchester United FC came from two down to win 3-2 against Aston Villa FC.
United's win at Villa Park marked the fifth time Sir Alex Ferguson's team have come from behind to pick up maximum points in 11 games this season. Andreas Weimann scored either side of the interval – the first after fine work from Christian Benteke – to put Villa two up, but half-time substitute Javier Hernández then stole the show. He halved United's arrears with a cool finish just before the hour and then helped to draw them level with a volley that deflected in off Ron Vlaar. The Mexican international completed the turnaround three minutes from time.
Fourth-placed Everton FC also triumphed despite falling behind just before half-time at Goodison Park, Adam Johnson opening his account for Sunderland AFC. The Toffees turned the game on its head in four second-half minutes, however, Marouane Fellaini drawing them level before laying on Nikica Jelavić for the winner. Level on points with Everton are fifth-placed West Bromwich Albion FC, who were 2-1 victors at Wigan Athletic FC.
The game of the day came in north London, where Arsenal FC drew 3-3 with Fulham FC. Arsène Wenger's side took an early two-goal lead through Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski but were behind midway through the second half following two strikes from Dimitar Berbatov and one from Alexander Kacaniklic. Giroud levelled matters once more and the Gunners could even have won but Mikel Arteta's added-time penalty was saved.
Bottom side Queens Park Rangers FC, meanwhile, remain without a league victory this term after a 1-0 loss at Stoke City FC. Elsewhere, Southampton FC and Swansea FC drew 1-1 and Reading FC versus Norwich City FC ended goalless.
