Dabo swaps St-Etienne for Sevilla

AS Saint-Etienne full-back Mouhamadou Dabo has joined Sevilla FC on a four-year deal, with the side who finished fourth in the Spanish Liga also agreeing new terms with winger Diego Capel.

Sevilla FC have announced the arrival of defender Mouhamadou Dabo from AS Saint-Etienne on a free transfer after the 23-year-old agreed terms on a four-year deal with the Liga side.

Adept at playing on either flank, the former France Under-21 international arrives at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán having made 116 league appearances for Les Verts. The Senegalese-born full-back will undergo a medical in Spain on Monday before penning a deal with the Copa del Rey champions.

The Liga side can also count on the services of 22-year-old winger Diego Capel for the next four seasons after the Spanish international signed a three-year contract extension that ties him to the club until 30 June 2014. Sevilla earned a UEFA Champions League play-off round place for 2010/11 having finished fourth in the Liga.
