Málaga CF conceded two late goals at Real Sociedad de Fútbol and missed the chance to move level on points with fourth-placed Levante UD, while there were home wins for Club Atlético de Madrid and CA Osasuna.

Despite falling behind to an early Martín Demichelis own goal (10), Málaga were seemingly on their way to a third Liga victory on the road this season thanks to goals from José Rondón (20) and Sebastián Fernández (59). However, Carlos Vela equalised with a minute remaining before Diego Ifrán snatched all three points for the hosts in the second minute of added time.

Earlier in the day Atlético moved up to eighth with a 3-1 defeat of Rayo Vallecano de Madrid, who are now three points adrift of their opponents in 11th. Osasuna claimed their fifth victory of the season to go seventh courtesy of Javad Nekunam's added-time winner against Real Betis Balompié, while RCD Mallorca drew 1-1 with Athletic Club. In the day's late fixture Granada CF ran out 1-0 winners against Real Zaragoza.
