Granada CF have dismissed coach Fabri González in the wake of a fourth Liga loss in five games, a 3-0 against RCD Espanyol on Saturday.

The 56-year-old González led Granada into the Spanish top flight with successive promotions but oversaw just five victories in the opening half of the campaign, leaving Los Rojiblancos one place above the relegation zone. A club statement read: "We would like to give our thanks to Mr González for his service to Granada CF, where the two promotions have made him very much a part of the club's history."
