Club Atlético de Madrid pulled level on points with Liga leaders FC Barcelona courtesy of a 3-1 victory against CA Osasuna.
Atlético's victory was their eighth in nine league games this season, goals from Miranda and Raúl García giving the capital outfit a two-goal lead against Osasuna inside 35 minutes. Although Roland Lamah pulled one back for the visitors before half-time, Falcao restored the home side's cushion with 17 minutes left.
Atlético's city rivals, Real Madrid CF, bounced back from their midweek UEFA Champions League loss to Borussia Dortmund with a 5-0 triumph at RCD Mallorca. Gonzalo Higuaín and Cristiano Ronaldo both struck in either half for the Merengues before José Callejón rounded off the scoring.
Elsewhere, Obafemi Martins also scored twice as Levante UD won 3-1 against Granada CF, Real Zaragoza prevailed 2-1 against Sevilla FC and Athletic Club lost by the same scoreline at home to Getafe CF.
