Published: Friday 5 February 2010, 15.50CET
Experienced Finland defender Toni Kuivasto has returned home after nine seasons abroad in Norway and Sweden, signing a one-year contract with FC Haka. The 34-year-old, capped 75 times, left HJK Helsinki at the end of the 2000 season to join Viking FK and in summer 2003 moved to Djurgårdens IF, winning two league titles before his release this winter. Kuivasto said: "I had for some while been talking with my family about returning to Finland and now a good chance to do that has come up. Haka are a club with great tradition and I got a good impression of the club immediately."
