Valencia CF have continued preparations for the 2010/11 season with the signing of French Under-21 international Sofiane Feghouli on a free transfer from relegated Ligue 1 side Grenoble Foot 38.

The midfielder, 20, scored twice in 60 appearances at Grenoble and has agreed a four-year deal with the Blanquinegros. He becomes the club's third signing in a week that David Villa looks set to depart for FC Barcelona after the arrivals of Turkish midfielder Mehmet Topal and Portugal defender Ricardo Costa. Valencia also announced that veteran goalkeeper César Sánchez would remain at the Mestalla for another season after the 38-year-old penned a contract extension until 30 June 2011. Following their third-place Liga finish, Unai Emery's side will begin next term's UEFA Champions League in the group stage.
