Paris Saint-Germain FC captain Claude Makélelé has signed a one-year contract extension with the Ligue 1 club. Makelele, 37, played 31 league games in 2009/10 and was a prominent figure in PSG's French Cup triumph, which earned the capital outfit a place in next term's UEFA Europa League play-offs. "I believe in this team for next season," said the former French international midfielder. "There will be strong signings and it's worth sticking with the club."
