UEFA Europa League contenders LOSC Lille Métropole moved to the top of Ligue 1 after a 2-1 home victory against AS Monaco FC.
Ludovic Obraniak's winner (78), which came after Adriano Pereira (57) had cancelled out Pierre-Alain Frau's first-half opener, settled the contest for the hosts, who became the fourth side to lead the French top flight over the course of the weekend. Lille are level on 24 points with Montpellier Hérault SC, a point ahead of Paris Saint-Germain FC and Stade Rennais FC, and two clear of Olympique de Marseille, Stade Brestois 29 and FC Girondins de Bordeaux.
Bordeaux enjoyed a 4-2 success at the expense of lowly AC Arles-Avignon thanks to an Anthony Modeste hat-trick and Yoan Gouffran's effort. Camel Meriem (22) and Hameur Bouazza (89) scored for the hosts. In the late evening kick-off, UEFA Champions League hopefuls Olympique Lyonnais came from behind to deny struggling RC Lens a much-needed victory. Kanga Akalé's 24th-minute strike gave the hosts hope only for Batéfimbi Gomis (64, 73) and Lisandro (89) to secure a 3-1 victory that lifted Lyon up to eighth.
