Nicolas Douchez has completed his move from Stade Rennais FC to Paris Saint-Germain FC on a three-year contract.
Douchez, who missed only one league game in each of his three seasons at Rennes, joins PSG as a replacement for the retired Grégory Coupet. The 31-year-old former Toulouse FC player, born in the French capital, said the move gave him "great pride", adding: "When I was a kid I used to come to this stadium [the Parc des Princes]."
Uncapped by his country despite having been in the senior squad, Douchez was described by PSG chairman Robin Leproux as a "greatly experienced goalkeeper". His new team will enter the UEFA Europa League play-offs next season after being French Cup runners-up and coming fourth in Ligue 1 last term.
